EASA COMMONS 2023 QUEER AIDED DESIGN WORKSHOP: WET PATCH, A GUT LEVEL GARDEN <3

We are are well and truly chuffed to announce that Queer Aided Design will be venturing over to sunny sheff for a fortnight this Summer.

For a bit of context, QAD are a design platform that aim to support and connect queer architecture students and space makers. From Monday 31st July to Friday 11th August QAD will be hosting a series of workshops to assist building the new and improved Wet Patch (Chapel Walk edition)!

Throughout the two weeks we will be working together to create a green safe haven on the roof terrace of our new home for local freekz and queers to socialize, relax and absorb plant NRG.

The workshop series will be packed with designing sessions, foraging field-days, skip diving, DIY demonstrations from local gardeners/green collectives, communal meals and of course, DANCING!!

We’re hoping to recruit a solid green fingered gang to muck in with the labour, plant knowledge is not essential as they’ll be plenty of skills to be shared and people are welcome to dip in and out of whichever workshops are suited to you best time wise.

This series of workshops is part of the European Architecture Students Assembly (EASA) Commons Festival so it will be open to both Gut Level members and architecture students from across Europe.

If you fancy getting involved the sign up sheet is below, pls tick the boxes of the workshops you wish to attend :) You can see more details of the sessions here.
