Queer Lens: Film screening, community meal & discussion

QTIBPOC Cinema Club invites you for a moving film screening and community meal at Gut Level, open to everyone.

‘Lingua Franca' by Isabel Sanodva, follows the story of Olivia, a trans woman with undocumented immigration status living in Brooklyn. Whilst working as a caregiver for Olga, an elderly Jewish-Russian woman, she desperately searches for routes to safety, security and love.

The screening will be followed by a shared meal and optional group discussion on themes of identity, sexual desire and structural disempowerment. There’s a beautiful upstairs garden balcony for socialising and reflective time.
