Gut Level Presents: White Disk & The Sin Eater (Double Film Screening)

White Disk - by f3mal3_gaze

An experimental fly-on-the-wall documentory about Mark, followed by Lydia our obtrusive observer, deployed with handicam and a head full of questions. Mark is a cleaner by trade and an experienced character model by passion. He’s seen it all and wants to share his story and Lydia is keen to dive in and see what he gets up to. White Disk’s a testament to DIY as it’s punk sensibility highlights two characters on and off camera, interested in life and what to do with it. Think American Movie and Grey Gardens.

The Sin Eater - by Sam Pilbeam

A folk-comedy-horror starring the Lovely Boys. Sin eating is an old protestant rite from Wales and Hereford but is performed by many different cultures and religions in different ways and this short film has it’s own twisted take on it. It pokes fun at tradition, class, and family dynamics. With themes of generational trauma, death, and the sacrifices made by those who are disadvantaged in our society. This film is a collaboration between friends and family, shot on a micro-budget of a thousand pounds and a lot of love.

Tickets £5 OTD - all takings will be shared between the two film makers.
