Following in the wake of a couple takeovers at Grub Records this Spring, Orange Room's first ever ticketed night will be taking place at the much beloved Grub Records on 19 July. What began as a monthly mix in a small but cosy living room, this genre-fluid collective is now rearing to bring the energy and fun they harnessed to a bigger dancefloor that can fit more friends. Profits will be split between being reinvested into future events and donated to the charity, Not a Phase, a trans-led, nationwide charity committed to uplifting and improving the lives of trans+ adults, through awareness campaigning, social projects and funding trans+ lead initiatives.
alex.aubyn
Spinning a multitude of genres, ranging from Acid to Club to Footwork just to name a few, a.a plays tracks that get the crowd moving. Recently supporting the likes of I Hate Models, LCY and Dr Cryptic, she’s one to watch on the Steel City scene.
Backseat Driver
Backseat Driver’s taking the wheel and you’re in for one hell of a journey. So hop in, buckle up, and get ready for some hard, fast, and sometimes silly techno.
Bubbles
She’s not here to burst your bubble, but Bubbles is sure to make your night pop. Floating between house and electro, expect her to provide bouncy energy, fun floor pumpers and a pinch of sass.
Paniolo
Though his roots are firmly in Hawai'i, Paniolo's career began at a free party in a barn in North Wales a couple years ago. He's not one to be corralled by any one genre, but does favour the chuggy, trippy and euphoric corners of progressive house, techno, trance and EBM. Sidenote: This event is also doubling as his 35th birthday celebration, so don’t be shy about wishing him a “Hau'oli lā hānau!”
