A long time ago, in the idyllic hinterlands of a pre-2020 world a $100 million dollar idea came into being: a film adaptation of the acclaimed musical theatre production 'Cats'. 

Hollywood, so drunk in its hubris and so desperate to milk as much money from what would surely be the film of the century, attached the star-power of Taylor Swift, Judi Dench, Idris Elba, James Corden and Ian McKellen (and many others) to assure its status as a crowd-pleasing, family-fun-time, money-maker. Tom Hooper, who has won Oscars, BAFTAs, Golden Globes and accolades aplenty, would direct this Spielberg produced sure-fire hit of the ages. What could possibly go wrong???

And yet, somehow, somewhere along the way, something did go very very wrong. Primarily a cgi-fur error meant that from some angles the fluffy little bumholes of these stars were hilariously visible, a re-cut was QUICKLY rushed out the same week of release, but it was too-late. The hallucinatory effects of the film were already making its way through society not dissimilar to a certain new airborne virus. Some even say the pandemic was CAUSED by this movie.
