Damsel Elysium (aka daedah) is the solo project of UK based multidisciplinary artist, multi-instrumentalist and composer Djenaba Davis-Eyo. Damsel considers themselves a dream architect utilising hypnagogic activation to achieve precision. They utilise string instruments, voice, electronics and movement in performance becoming ritual and the stage an altar.
Their first record released on AD 93 and their multi-medium approach explores site-specific performance, inspired by contemporary and fluxus movement, which have appeared in Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall, Southbank centre, V&A museum and Fondation Beyeler.
Louis Carnell is a musician, artist, and curator living in London. Carnell’s work has deep in its heart a concern with both the physical and digital environments where Louis finds himself.
His live performance ‘17’ songs of condition & reflection, an act of stillness. Infused with light, unguarded in darkness. ‘17’ A number Louis holds dear as he shares it with his Granny in terms of the day they were born on. Music is formed in restriction of 17 elements, and incorporates sounds from CD’s Louis inherited after his Granny’s passing.
